Mount Jubilee Ministries (MJM) is delighted to introduce our innovative Respite Care Services, designed to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities – affectionately known as “Heroes” – and their families. This program offers short-term, Airbnb-style stays, providing families with the opportunity to recharge while ensuring their loved ones receive compassionate care in a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment.
Program Highlights:
- Flexible Stay Durations: Heroes can enjoy stays ranging from one night to multiple weeks, offering families the flexibility to choose the respite period that best suits their needs.
- Community Living: Guests will reside in homes where residential directors and other Heroes live in community, fostering relationship-building and personal growth.
- Strategic Development: This initiative is a pivotal step toward MJM’s vision of establishing a larger permanent residential community in Reidsville, NC.
Locations:
- Care Cottage for Women: Situated adjacent to the His Path Day Program at Westover Church in Greensboro, this home primarily accommodates female guests.
- Hope Haven for Men: Located approximately six miles from Westover Church in Greensboro, this residence caters to male guests.
Program Launch:
We are currently recruiting and onboarding our residential support team and furnishing the residences with the help of sponsors. We anticipate hosting our first guests after April 18, 2025, and have begun accepting applications. Visit our Respite Care program page to fill out an interest form and start the process.
Pricing and Respite Care Hours:
- Accommodation Fee: $99 per night, which reserves a private room with a dedicated bathroom.
- Respite Care: An additional 16 hours of required respite care per day.
Medicaid and Payment Options:
The cost of the required respite care is typically covered through the Hero’s State Medicaid, 1915(i), or Innovations Waiver Services, resulting in no out-of-pocket expense for the caregiver. However, if these services are not available, the caregiver will be responsible for the cost. We encourage families to fill out the interest form on our website to discuss individual circumstances and payment options.
