Mount Jubilee Ministries is excited to introduce our new executive director, Jessie Meador, who will begin leading the team October 23, 2023. Jessie comes to MJM with 13 years of business strategy experience, with the last eight years in various leadership roles at the Cone Health Annie Penn Hospital campus. Most recently, Jessie served as the assistant director of operations & community outreach for the hospital.
Coming to Cone Health as a marketing manager, Jessie continuously took on new operational roles including oversight of community outreach, volunteer & guest services, Woodmont Child Development Center, environmental services, and dietary services at Annie Penn Hospital. Active in the community, Jessie serves on the Diabetes Task Force of Rockingham County board of directors as the vice president and has done so since its incorporation as a 501(c)3 in 2018. In addition, she has served on the Reidsville Chamber of Commerce board of directors since 2017. In January she will end her term as Chairman of the Board for the Chamber, moving to the past-chairman position.
Jessie obtained her Bachelor of Science from Wake Forest University and her MBA from Fayetteville State University. Prior to her employment at Cone Health, Jessie served as the consumer marketing manager for Piedmont Distillers and then the lead manager consumer marketing at Reynolds American, both headquartered in Winston-Salem.
About her move to full-time ministry leadership, she says “my place of work has always been a mission field for me – in the way I interact with my leaders, staff, coworkers, customers, and the public – wherein God has always given me opportunities to impact those around me in a deep and meaningful way. This next step with MJM presents an opportunity to multiply and profoundly deepen my impact in the world and for that I will be forever grateful. It is extremely important to be able to exhibit my core values in my daily work and to see first hand the impact I am making. I am confident this will be the case at MJM.” Jessie is passionate about the health and well-being of our communities and is excited to begin positively impacting the lives of our Heroes and their families.
Mount Jubilee Ministries is eager for this next step for our organization. We are also pleased to confirm that Cecil Cottrell, our outgoing executive director, will continue to serve MJM in a resource development role, which will be crucial to the success of our strategic plans.
